Tchau, Rio!

Tchau, Rio!

To get the true vibe of any city it's important to kick it in the city’s neighborhoods.  We spent our last few days in Rio doing just that, exploring a variety of neighborhoods including Leblon, Lapa, Santa Teresa, and São Conrado.  Each providing us with a different perspective on what this city of 6 million+ has to offer...

Over our last few days we also played tourist (and waited in many crazy long lines), well worth it however as it allowed an opportunity to view some of the most amazing attractions this city has to offer - including Christ the Redeemer and a 7th Natural Wonder of the World, the Harbor of Rio de Janeiro.

We had 8 amazing nights in Rio, but it is time to bid the city adieu (tchau, as they say in Portuguese).  We head south 4 hours along the coast by bus to Paraty, a Brazilian colonial town halfway to our final Brazilian destination Sao Paulo.

(more on the coastal town of Paraty to come!)

Below are a few highlights of our last few days exploring...
