Adventures in Croatia, Bosnia &

 the Adriatic Sea

Before leaving for our 2016 world tour we would admit that Croatia wasn't initially on our radar for our travels throughout Europe.  However due to the Schengen visa requirement (a 3 month travel limit through the majority of Europe) and the amount of time we planned to travel there (4 months) we needed to spend some time in a non-Schengen visa country and not risk the possibility of getting deported!  After hearing multiple times how amazing Croatia, a non-Schengen visa country, is from many travelers met around the world we decided we would spend almost two weeks there.  It turns out that decision was one of the biggest surprises and best we have made during our journey!

After relaxing in Northern Croatia and swimming the waterfalls of Krka National Park, we headed South to continue our travels with an action packed week of caves, islands, cliff jumping and fresh seafood with special guest Jill aka The Yillster, Sean's cousin, and her friend Joe!

We met up with Jill and Joe in the city of Split, made our way by ferry to the party island of Hvar, rented a car and took a detour to Bosina, and ended up in the beautiful Dubrovnik, home to Game of Thrones King's Landing.

Here our some of our faves from an incredible week with friends and family exploring Croatia and the insanely beautiful Adriatic Sea...

The company, food, local people, beaches and stunning Adriatic Sea made Croatia such an amazing adventure.  Hvala Croatia!  However it was time to leave one paradise and head to another, Greece!  We would spend our first few days in Santorini highlighted by a 4th of July celebration with Jill and friends Joe, LJ and Kevin followed by our first visit from our parents during our journey!

After 6 months of travel the countdown to sailing the Greek Isles with Sean's parents Don and Marsh officially begins!!!!  Opa!
