The Fitz's Sail The Greek Isles
After 6 months of travel we finally meet up with our first set of parents, Sean's mom and dad!!!
Sean's parents, Don and Marsh, would be sailing the Greek Isles with a group of family and friends, a coordinated effort to both meet up with us and celebrate Don and Marsh's 6oth birthdays! After the group had been island hopping for a few days, we caught up with them by way of ferry from Santorini to the island of Tinos. Our awesome group of friends and family exploring the Agean Sea would total 10! Don and Marsh, Sean's Aunt Lil and Uncle Aug, The Winos, and Kim and Peter. Our group sailed on a catamaran, The Serenity, and were accounted for by two incredible crew members, Captain Spiros and First Mate/Chef/Professional Badass Xenia.
It was one memorable and rowdy trip. A few favorites from our sailing adventure...

Much of our time was spent lounging and sunbathing at sea...

and eating awesome Greek meals prepared by Xenia...

Off to the island of Paros...

Upon arrival we throw in the floaties and kayak as the group takes a dip in the Aegean...

In the evening we were escorted to town on a dingy by Spiros for dinner, little did Don and Marsh know that there would be a surprise 60th birthday bash for them on the boat when they returned!

The surprise and dance party that followed!!

and the dance party commences...

The bday party was a success, so much fun! Unfortunately the weather, particularly the waves and wind, were going to be an issue during the following days sail. So Captain Spiros decided we would hit the rocky seas the following morning at 6am... drinking until 3am and being woken up by rocky waves at 6am is not the easiest, but standard procedure for this group, all prevailed.
We had arrived in Mykonos! Exploring the island...

Our final day with the group was spent exploring Mykonos, followed by a night out for dinner. We brought Captan Spiros and Xenia with us to dinner, as a thanks for all their awesome work!

After our awesome days at sea concluded, we joined Don and Marsh and Aunt Lil and Uncle Aug for another few nights enjoying family and time together in Greece. We continued with a night in Mykonos followed by a ferry to Santorini for a few...

The following morning we arrived in Santorini, as if the days at sea weren't relaxing enough...

The best sunsets are in Greece...

It was sad to see Sean's parents, Aunt and Uncle, and family friends go, but an amazing time was had together!!! So great to see everyone, we are so fortunate to have such awesome people in our lives... thanks for the most incredible time Mom, Dad, Aunt Lil, and Uncle Aug! Photo credits to Aug and Peter!
Although we said goodbye, our journey continued with a quick one night stop in Athens and a visit to the Parthenon...

Next stop Venice to meet up with Laura's parents Tom and Barbara and sister Kristen for a tour through Italia!!!
